Like the title suggests, in this one, we’ll be discussing everything about social networks for real estate. It’s critically important to surround yourself with high quality people in the real estate industry, whether you’re an investor, realtor, mortgage lender, or what have you.

You need a social network for real estate, whether your profession is a realtor, investor, or what have you. As the saying goes, your network is your net worth, and that’s never been truer in today’s society. So without further ado, let’s get started in teaching you how to create a high quality social network for real estate.

Networking

This is obvious, yet so many people take it for granted and don’t spend time doing it! Networking is one of the best things you can do to build a higher quality social network. From Eventbrite, MeetUp or your local Facebook/LinkedIn groups, you can find some incredible events in your area. Something else you can do to ensure you’re building your network as time goes on, is to simply invite the higher net worth people to lunch with you, offer them something you’re good at for free and ask for nothing in return. This might seem like a surprise to them, but you’ll be viewed as someone who provides a lot of value to them, so psychologically speaking, they almost feel a need to give you something in return due to the disproportionate value you gave them in the first place.

If you’re able to invite your top 5-10% out to lunch on a weekly/monthly basis, you’ll be surprised to see how fast your network grows just from this slight little trick. Without a person to help introduce you to the new wave of higher level people, it’ll be very difficult for you to do this on your own. Instead, let someone else do the work of introducing you to higher level people, it’ll seem more organic and natural rather than you going to every single networking event and not meeting that many impressive people.

So do yourself a favor and make an effort to have weekly meetups with people in your network to create more wealth and visibility for yourself, your future self will thank you unequivocally.

Branded Content

This is something that’s getting more popular this year, and will only continue to grow. User branded content is something you can do to establish WHAT you do, WHERE you do it, and WHY you do it. Whether you’re on Instagram, YouTube or what have you, creating content to post to your socials is an extremely easy way to get your message across to your target audience in your area. In most cases, they’ll be reaching out to you, instead of you having to reach out to them. It’s a better situation as this gives you so much more leverage as they know you and your content, and somewhat trust you if they’re messaging you about it.

For Momentum 360, that’s exactly what we did in 2022. For roughly 4-5 days out of the business week, we created content pertaining to what we do (virtual tours and photography), where we do it (Philadelphia and surrounding cities) and why we do it (to help get more conversions online). This resulted in a lot of brand deals and partnerships where we were able to grow our social network for real estate in little time.

If you’re struggling with content creation, hope on a call with my team, where we show you free strategies that you can implement starting today! We also can help you shoot and edit the content as well, but we’d prefer you just use the free strategies for yourself until you can invest more time and money into actually building your brand.

Podcasts

This is our personal favorite to build a larger social network for real estate. From the comfort of your home or office, you can be interviewed for free on the knowledge that you know in the industry. Matchmaker.fm is one of the most powerful free tools you can use to get free interviews. You have the ability on Matchmaker.fm to quite literally go through different shows pertaining to different topics and location, and pick the best one for you.

We’ve been featured on hundreds of podcasts over the years, so it’s only natural that you and your brand need to do the same to ensure your social network for real estate grows! For example, if you’re a real estate content creator in Philadelphia per say, you want to hop on a podcast obviously talking about content marketing, real estate, topics that you know so well you can provide a lot of valuable information to their audience. Remember, the more value you can bring for free, the more psychologically the person interviewing you/getting to know you deems you as a higher quality person, and will plug you along with many of their personal and professional networks to ensure their network gets more value. Does it make sense to you? Good, let’s move on.

Don’t Be Afraid to Ask

In today’s day and age, you’re really only one or two people away from getting to the person who can really influence and help your business grow. For example, if you’re an up and coming real estate agent in a major city and you just got your license, it would be in your best interest to work with the best brokerage in town, which for a lot of people, is Keller Williams. So with that being said, you’d be smart to talk to the upper epsilon people in the brokerage, invite them for lunch, give them your time, work for free, to develop a relationship with them. As Gary Vee says, “jab, jab, right hook.” Essentially what this means is to give value, give more value, and then give even more value until you’ve given so much value that the person has no other choice to pay it back to you. This is when you ask, whatever it is, for an introduction to someone new who kills it with sales, maybe something you need help with, or simply just new strategies of the business.

You can implement this same strategy for whatever niche or job profession you’re in, it’s incredibly powerful and allows you to grow just as fast. It’s 2023, now is the time to invest in your social network for real estate. The more people you meet in this business, the more leverage you’ll have to do as you please.
