How To Optimize CloudPano Tours

Hey everyone and welcome back to another blog here at Momentum 360. In this week’s blog, we’re going to be talking about CloudPano Tours and how to optimize them for your business. If you’ll remember, about a month ago we posted a blog titled “CloudPano Virtual Tour Review” in which we talked about CloudPano virtual tour software, its advantages over other software like Matterport, its pricing, and more. 

In today’s post, we’re headed back to CloudPano software and talking about how to optimize it. Without further ado, let’s dive in!

What is CloudPano?

CloudPano is a virtual tour software, used to create and publish 3D virtual tours. CloudPano makes the creation, hosting, and sharing of virtual tours extremely simple for those just starting out in the business of virtual tours or for users who are experienced and ready to streamline their services. CloudPano users can drag and drop uploaded photos, set and reorder viewing scenes, insert ambient music, and add hotspots.

Additionally, the software is built for efficient smartphone usage. It also has an in-built motion sensor that responds to movements through phones. Likewise, it enables VR goggles for a more immersive experience. Users have full control over the privacy of their projects. They can set passwords to restrict access or share links with other people without the app. CloudPano also has a community page where users can share their tours to other users. Overall, users have full control over their projects from creation, creativity, and the privacy of their projects. 

How to Optimize CloudPano Tours

1. Shoot and Upload Images

The first step in optimizing your CloudPano virtual tours is to shoot 360 panos, stitch them together, and upload them to your CloudPano account. On that same upload page, you have the ability to also rename and rearrange the order of the images so that it is easily organized and set up the way you want. Here, you can also put in contact information for the client so that all your information is in one space. Just like with other virtual tour software, CloudPano allows you to not only set an initial view of the property but also link the hotspots together which creates a full 3D walkthrough. 

2. Add information

In CloudPano, there is a bunch of different types of information you can include in each hotspot. These include hyperlinks, short text, other images, long text, or even the HTML if you want to include something like a YouTube video. You also get to choose the icon that comes with it, which gives the user more choices in the design aspect of their tour. 

3. Custom Logo

One of the things that set CloudPano far apart from its competition in virtual tour software is the ability to customize your tours to exactly the specifications you want. This includes being able to add a custom logo to the tour, setting a default hotspot style, changing the entire theme of the panos being displayed at the bottom, and much more. Also on the list of pros for CloudPano customers is the ability to create a custom whitelabel URL. 

A whitelabel URL is a site that sells your products directly but under a different domain, brand, or company name. This is super important because it allows you to include your company’s name or your client’s name with their tour to make it easier for customers and increase the exposure. You can also make it as short and memorable as you want. 

4. Enable a Lead Capture Form

To do this, all you need to do is upload a promotional image, a message for customers, and an email address to send leads to your client and CloudPano will send any possible leads to your clients. It is a great way to advertise on your tour and is super easy to track the traffic and clicks it brings you. 

5. Navigation

The navigation in a virtual tour is the visual effect when clicking from one image to the next. CloudPano has a bunch of options including crossfade, radial, cells, distort, etc. There is also the option to change the navigation mode. The default setting for navigation mode is “initial view navigation” which ensures the viewer always looks at the same initial view of a screen no matter where they came from. 

6. CloudPano Live

CloudPano Live is essentially the same as showing your client or customer a live demo of the product, however instead of doing it through an external software like Zoom or Microsoft Teams or whatever video conferencing platform, you can do it straight through CloudPano. The two options for this are “Party Room” and “One-on-one”. The former is 1-4 participants while the latter is just 1-2. 

7. Create a Google Tour

Google has actually partnered with CloudPano to export the virtual tours created directly to Google Street View (GSV). It is extremely cool that you can export directly to GSV through CloudPano and makes the process very easy.

Hey everyone and welcome back to another Momentum Monday! The month of January is coming to an end, which means we’re well into the swing of 2021. With that, here at Momentum we’ve been hard at work analyzing the emerging digital marketing trends of the year and we want to share some of what we have learned, specifically how to generate leads for your virtual tour business in 2021. 

 

In today’s post, we are going to be talking about three strategies we like to use to generate leads and how they can help you grow your virtual tour business this year! These three strategies include:

 

  1. Email Marketing
  2. Local SEO
  3. Social Media Outreach

 

So without further ado, let’s get into it!

 

1. Email Marketing

Email marketing as a lead-generating strategy works in conjunction with lead scraping. For those of you that may be unfamiliar with that term, lead scraping is taking data collected by an automated system and plugging it into an email sender. 

 

At Momentum 360, we’ve used a couple combinations of data collection and email sender software. The combination we’ll be talking about today is the D7 Lead Finder plus MailShake. You have to pay to use these systems but the price is generally pretty low, especially for starter packages and the return is well worth the investment. 

 

To use the D7 Lead Finder, you simply search up your company’s niche and your target location, and the Lead Finder mines data specifically for those parameters, giving you business names, phone numbers, emails, etc. for a business that may be interested in using your company’s services. You can use this information in a variety of different ways, whether it be cold-calling with your sales pitch or including them on marketing emails. The list of leads can be downloaded so that you can easily plug it into MailShake or whichever email sender you prefer to use. 

 

The cool thing about using these services is that we can send over 1,000 emails per day for any and all of our active marketing campaigns with quickness and ease you wouldn’t be able to achieve without this software. 

2. Local SEO

Local SEO is a hugely important part of any company’s digital marketing presence. Local SEO is, essentially, ranking locally on Google or any other search engine for your business’s niche. 

 

For example, if you search “Virtual Tour Services Philadelphia” on Google, Momentum 360 is the very first result. That’s because we have put a lot of time and effort into crafting our local SEO presence.

So why is this important? Momentum 360 owner Sean Boyle has used CloudPano to create virtual tours and believes the advantages of CloudPano to be:

  1. Unlimited space
    1. CloudPano does not limit users to a certain amount of tours and does not charge users any extra for hosting. 
  2. Aerial and outside capability
    1. Most virtual tour softwares are only usable in an indoor setting. In residential real estate especially, being able to provide images of the outdoor space as well as the indoor is a game-changer. 
  3. Compatibility with any camera
    1. With Matterport, only certain cameras were compatible with their software. This limits photographers. However, with CloudPano, any camera with 360 capabilities are able to be uploaded to the CloudPano software to create a virtual tour. 
  4. Drone panoramic capability

Pricing

For all its’ usability, you would think that CloudPano is expensive. However, CloudPano is actually one of the cheapest 3D tour softwares currently on the market. The vast majority of virtual tour software platforms charge a monthly or annual rate. This is not the case with CloudPano. CloudPano begins charging users a one-time fee of $10 for their basic model. For their Pro features, the price increases to $33 per month.

This cost is a great value simply because at this price, users can generate an unlimited amount of tours. With software like Matterport, users are paying a lower monthly fee but are capped at how many tours and have to pay extra for anything past the limit. 

Recommendation

Here at Momentum 360, we fully endorse the use of CloudPano technology. Not only is it software designed for the novice 3D photographer, but it is also incredibly useful and easily adaptable for those who have been in the virtual tour business for a long time. 

We have been longtime users of Matterport, and while Matterport has a solid software base, we can fully recommend the use of CloudPano for its usability, price, and ease. Simply put, CloudPano makes virtual tours simple. We recommend CloudPano for seasoned virtual tour experts, but believe this software is easy for even beginners to understand.

Hey everyone and welcome back to another Momentum 360 blog! In this week’s blog, we are going to be taking a look at some virtual tours of zoos around the world. Right now is the perfect time to be taking advantage of virtual tours of zoos, not only because of visitor restrictions due to the Coronavirus but also because the weather is getting colder as we move closer to winter. 

In today’s blog, we’re going to talk about the benefits of virtual tours in zoos and we’re going to be highlighting a couple of awesome zoos and animal habitats available to see online. These exhibits are perfect for animal lovers of all ages and are the perfect way to learn about animals you don’t see every day. Check it out!

Benefits of Virtual Tours of Zoos

Let’s be honest, nothing in the world has been completely normal for months now. We’re all learning to live with our new normal as best as we can. One of my favorite activities as a kid was going to the zoo in the summer and seeing the coolest animals in the world. When the virus shut everything down, zoos were forced to close to the public to ensure the safety of the zoologists and the animals they care for. 

In a time where everyone was stuck at home trying to figure out how to keep themselves and their children entertained and learning, people turned to exciting educational opportunities they could access online. 

Now, doing a virtual tour of a zoo isn’t the same as a museum’s virtual tour. In a museum, exhibitions are mostly stagnant and can be captured in a photograph. In a zoo, however, the main attraction is the animals who are living, breathing, and moving creatures. You can’t capture the majesticness of a lion in a photograph. 

So how do these virtual tours work? Well, a combination of virtual reality, live cams, and 360 technology. 

The live cams are pretty self-explanatory, a camera is set up on a specific enclosure and sends a live stream to the zoo’s website. People can log on at any time and from anywhere to see what’s going on in that enclosure. These are very popular for when an animal is about to give birth. 

360 technology and virtual reality are used to simulate an in-person visit to the zoo, with renderings of the attractions to make you feel like you are actually there. 

Online Virtual Tours of Zoos

Paignton Zoo

This UK Zoo has one of the most comprehensive zoo virtual tours. Paignton has a 360 aerial view tour of eight areas of their zoo. In this tour, visitors can learn about species of different animals while actually seeing what they look like in their enclosures. Some of these include crocodiles, lions, giraffes, and more! 

In addition to this virtual tour, Paignton Zoo also has live cams set up for their flamingos, meerkats, and the Sulawesi Crested Macaque.

National Aquarium

The National Aquarium is an exhibit we have highlighted before in our “Educational 3D Tours” blog. This Baltimore-based aquarium is home to over 20,000 animals, including over 800 species. When you think aquarium, chances are you think of tropical fish, sharks, and turtles. While the National Aquarium has all these, they also have animals like birds, amphibians, and even mammals. All the animals housed in the National Aquarium have a unique connection to water, even if you wouldn’t think of them as fitting in an aquarium.

In this virtual tour, users can explore different areas like the Tropical Rainforest, the Atlantic Coral Reef, the Amazon Rainforest, and so much more! In these areas, visitors can also click and learn more information about the animals and fish native to these regions. This is an easy-to-use tour full of information that is perfect for any age.

Plus, it has some really cute pictures of dolphins!

Taronga Zoo

Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia is home to many exhibits including a wildlife retreat, African Savannah, rainforest, and more! Using 3D technology in Google Street View, visitors can explore the Taronga Zoo in detail. You can see all the different enclosures and animals that the zoo has to offer. 

This includes animals usually only found in Australia, so if you’re like us, this may be the only opportunity to see cute and cuddly koalas, kangaroos, and more!
