Virtual Tour Case Studies
Welcome back to another Momentum 360 blog! We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during this crazy time. Take this time to slow down. Call your loved ones. Take some time for yourself. We are all in this together. Since we all have a little extra time on our hands right now, we wanted to dive into some of our favorite virtual tour case studies. If you are here, you may already know what a virtual tour is – but to keep it short and sweet, a virtual tour is a live visual of a business or location that walks you through the space step by step. If you are still confused as to what a virtual tour consists of, we have got you covered in a previous blog post you can check out here.
Now, let’s dive into it.
In order to create our virtual tours, we use Matterport, which is a 3-D platform for creating virtual tours to gain a better understanding of any space. As you click around in the space, Matterport can show you the dimensions and in-depth details of what exactly that space looks like in-person. Matterport is a great interactive way to bring your business to life for current and prospective customers.
A common misconception is that virtual tours are really only good for real estate and large spaces. Let’s say it louder for the people in the back: virtual tours can benefit every business, regardless of the square footage of your space. We would not give them the hype if they did not deserve it. Since we started Momentum 360, we have had the pleasure of shooting over 50+ businesses. Through working with these businesses, we have helped generate almost 250,000 impressions and 150,000 website visits. That is an average of 4,200 impressions and 2,500 website visits per client.
Let the numbers speak for themself. Virtual tours work. We would not have created an entire business around them if we believed differently!
Aside from real estate and restaurants, retail shops can also see great results from investing in a virtual tour. In fact, retail stores are one of the top businesses that do benefit from featuring a virtual tour on their website. One of our favorite virtual tour case studies is Shop Vintage Alley, a small vintage and bohemian lifestyle goods store located in Doylestown, PA. The shop offers a variety of vintage clothing, jewelry and household goods to browse through.
With the help of Matterport, we were able to shoot an awesome virtual tour of the space that allows prospective customers to “walk through” the space before even physically stepping foot inside! Since 2018, our virtual tour has helped them gain 10.7K impressions, with a monthly average of 430. With a quick turnover, Shop Vintage Alley saw awesome growth results on Google, as they now rank at the Top of Google for various keyword searches such as “retail near me”, “retail shops in Philadelphia” and more. They are a true testament to the notion that virtual tours can be beneficial for every business owner, big or small. Plus, now we know where to head if we are ever in need of a vintage crewneck.
Did you know: Retail stores with more visual content (like virtual tours) receive 403% more inquiries compared to those without. Yes, you read that correctly. 403% more inquiries. Need we say more?
Over the years, we have created several virtual tours at restaurants, no matter the size. We have experience in smaller spaces such as your local coffee shop to as big as chain restaurants. When it comes to our business, as long as you have a physical location, you want to consider a virtual tour. One of our very first clients was South Kitchen & Jazz Bar, located at 600 N Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19130. Not only is this a great restaurant to dine at, the live jazz music that plays throughout the restaurant is what makes it such a great treasure in the city.
A common question we receive is, “How long does it take to make a virtual tour”? The answer is, not long at all. With the use of our 3D cameras and Matterport, you can have a virtual tour created within a matter of hours. The virtual tour for South Kitchen & Jazz Bar only took an hour and a half to make. We then took this process even further and interviewed the owner, Harry, and some staff members for two hours to create an in-depth experience of what one’s experience would be like attending and dining at South Kitchen & Jazz Bar.
It has been a little over two years since the virtual tour for this restaurant has been released, and there have been many successes because of the work we have done with them. Since the release of the virtual tour, it has been viewed more than 32.6K times and the average monthly impressions is 1,362. Along with that, their Google account has received more than 100,000+ impressions and now consistently ranks 1st or 2nd in Google Local Searches. These great achievements for businesses that we adore are why we do what we do. Seeing the numbers rise and the hard work of everyone involved is extremely rewarding. We are here to help YOU grow!
As you can see, there are many reasons why restaurants can benefit from a virtual tour. We live in a society that heavily relies on access to reviews and visuals prior to giving someone our business. On a personal note, when deciding which restaurant I want to dine at, I almost ALWAYS search for pictures or videos of the space before I choose where I want to go #guilty. If the restaurant has a virtual tour, I am very likely to choose that restaurant over ones that do not have one because I know what amazing features and ambiance that restaurant offers.
Did you know: Customers are 60% more likely to call a venue if they have seen on Google that includes a 360 Virtual Tour. 60% more likely to call, and even more likely to turn that prospective customer into a dedicated, returning customer.
Another industry we love working with is hotels and their amenities they offer. We have produced virtual tours for numerous hotels, but some of our favorite have been the Pool at Marriott Marquis in Houston and their Presidential Suite. These projects were so fun because of the square footage we were able to play around with. When researching places to stay while visiting an area, whether it be for vacation or work, your prospective customer wants to see pictures and videos of where they will be spending their time. Our virtual tours give the potential customers the “wow-factor” that other hotels do not, and enable prospective and current customers to get a feel for their vacation before even stepping foot off the plane.
The picture above gives the viewer an insight on what to expect when staying at the Marriott Marquis in Houston, Texas. This hotel is top-notch and you are guaranteed to have a wonderful stay if you choose to stay here. Our virtual tours not only show you an overview of what the space looks like, we also give more information that you, the viewer, can interact with while following along with the tour. For example, in this picture above it shows the multiple living spaces that are included in the Presidential Suite. When you click on the red and white circles on the Matterport virtual tour, the viewer will be enlightened with bits of information that will make their experience even more enjoyable. This virtual tour of the Presidential Suite includes the bedroom, office space with a large desk, 2,000+ square foot entertaining spaces, kitchen, bathrooms, and fully furnished outside patio spaces that provides a beautiful view of downtown Houston. After viewing the beautiful and luxurious Presidential Suite, it will be hard not to book it for the next time you are visiting Houston!
As if it couldn’t get any better, our packaging does not end with just a virtual tour! Not only do we provide your business with the tour itself, we also can create a video package for you which includes drone footage, staging, filming, editing, producing and promoting your videos. All of these features are guaranteed to grow the following of your business. Momentum 360’s virtual tours have proven to increase SEO, increase the traffic on your website, gain better online reviews and improve social media accounts.
But at the end of the day, wanna know the best part about virtual tours? They are beneficial to any business with a physical location. Brick and mortar, real estate, gym facilities – the possibilities are endless! Of course with all of our virtual tour case studies, we are just striving to help the businesses grow. We are on your team!. Each virtual tour is automatically optimized for desktop, mobile and tablets, ensuring that all of your online customers will be able to gain the full virtual tour experience. This one-time investment can help shape the future of your business. Why wait any longer?
So, what did our virtual tours cost these businesses? Like we said, the beauty in virtual tours is it is a one time cost. Our packages start at $400 + 10% of the square footage of your space. If your space is roughly around 2,000 square feet, you can walk out of this with a professional virtual tour for a one-time fee of $500. This includes the virtual tour, mattertags, posting to Google and hosting for an entire year! Just a one-time investment.
Here at Momentum 360, we want to make growing your business easier than ever. Investing in a virtual tour is without a doubt an imperative step in making that happen. Our society is prioritizing digital content now more than ever, and we likely will not see a decline in this mindset in the future years.
